So...since a couple of people told me I should try it out, and I was curious as well, I decided to try out SF4 and found out it's pretty fun to play; Just a couple of questions though

1. There's no difference between the PC and PS3 versions of the game right? Considering getting the PC version first before buying one for my console. That, and is SF a game that can run on mid/high-end pc's fine without any problems.

2. Do you guys have a method for you to easily link moves? I've been relying on visual cues since I picked up the game. But it seems to be a hit and miss for me. A friend taught me another method, but I can't remember what it is

3. How...hard is Juri? I'm planning on maining her, so tips on using her would be nice. Actually, tips on learning this game in general would be really nice ; u ;

There's no difference, just make sure you're running it at 60fps, AE2012 patch is not yet out for the pc though but it should be out soon.

with regards to linking, do you mean linking normals? if so, you could do it via the oldskul way na timing lang or via p-linking. meron tutorial niyan sa youtube for better explanation.

#3

si captain lontabelles po mag explain ng juri since main niya yan

#2, can you give examples of the combo you're doing/linking?

#3, this thread can start you off..
the-legendary-eye-thread-juri-t308.html

note that the technology on that thread is not yet for ae2012, pero should be useful for you, juri only got buffs sa ae2012

Some combos in SFIV are 1-frame links. Plinking makes the 1-frame link into a 2-frame link to make the linking easier. You can read more about it here: http://shoryuken.com/forum/index.php?th ... ore.64022/

this is also a good answer for display's with input lag especially HDTV's, i don't know if the pc version has this issue as well.

note that you need to dedicate a lot of time on learning juri and playing many matches with people (gaining experience), juri has a steep learning curve but very doable

ahhh, thanks guys ;w; , your replies are pretty helpful > u<

To be frank, I've only tried SF for two days, and that's when I go to A2G haha.

And, who are SF's easy to learn characters? Might consider staring off using them before shifting to Juri once I get comfortable with linking.

Ryu. He is the most basic all-around character in SF.

plus, he's really strong in 2012..

but it stil depends on you though, people can suggest an easy to learn character but you might not have the passion for it, i suggest you just pick someone you love/prefer then stick with it. but i agree it's better to start with someone simple to learn basic in and outs of the game/system.

This is the vid about "plinking" that helped me a lot

For Juri, this playlist can hopefully get you started. She really has to work for her wins. It's mostly from old Super though, so you have to read up on her v2012 changes as well.

Really? :? I've been trying at SF AND A2G is the closest place I can game, too.

Haven't been there in a bit because it's kinda intimidating to go up to play against people that know a lot more about the game. D:

It's the best way to get better, always seek opponents of equal and even stronger skill level. You will lose and learn at the very least.
